Introduction

This city worth absolutely worth a visit. If you are in Cairo and have a full day that you want to enjoy seeing one of the Cairo nearby destinations, then get my advice and go to Al Menya. A clean city with fascinating wide Nile view and some of the most wonderful ancient Egyptian treasures in this country. Highly recommended.

The city of Al Menya and the region all around it hosts a number of quite interesting monuments like Tell Al Amarna, the capital established by Akhenaten, the historical sites of Tuna Al Gebel, and Hermopollis.
