Opening Hours And Public Holidays in Egypt may affect your travel schedule so please read this carefully. Most of the open-air historical sites like pyramids, Paranoiac temples, and ancient mosques are usually opened for public visits from 9 in the morning till  5 in the afternoon. Some major historical sites like the Karnak “Sound and Light Show” and Luxor temple in Luxor work till 9 at night.

Most museums work from 9 in the morning till 5 in the afternoon while particularly, Luxor Museum and Luxor Mummification Museum open 2 times a day, the morning session starts at and 09:00 till 14:00 while afternoon session starts at 17:00 till 20:00.

A full work week is generally considered five 8-hour work days in Egypt, from Sunday through Thursday (to a maximum of six full days, which would generally add Saturday as the sixth).

Most Banks open from 8:30 to 14:00 from Sunday to Thursday and some extend working hours till 17:00. While many banks have branches inside most of the hotels in every city in Egypt and usually they offer their services around the clock.

Public administration: from 8:30 to 15:00 from Sunday to Thursday.
