Itinerary

Day 01: Welcome to Cairo

Welcome to Egypt home of the Pharaohs. Upon your arrival at Cairo International Airport, you will be met by our courteous and professional representatives who will arrange ground transportation to the hotel.


Day 02: Giza Pyramids, Egyptian Museum and Khan El Khalili

Start exploring the wonders of Egypt including the Great Pyramids of Giza. Step back in time as you tour the Pyramids of Khafre and Menkaure popularly referred to as the second and third pyramids. For lunch enjoy the sumptuous local cuisine and continue your tour of awe-inspiring Egyptian Museum. Then tour Khan El Khalili, a large marketplace or souk in Cairo. Purchase a wide array of exquisite, unique, rare or even unusual merchandise from spices to souvenirs. Cap your day off with dinner at the hotel.

Day 03: Maydoum Pyramid, Nazla Village, Tunis Village and Qarun Lake

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel and take on the journey to El Fayoum south west of Cairo which it is one of the first places where agriculture was practiced. Discover the Maydoum Pyramid built in the 4th Dynasty by Huni. Visit the village of Nazla where beautiful pottery is made the traditional way and stop by the Tunis village and explore. Catch your breath at lunch and go to Qarun Lake is Egypt’s largest natural salt water lake. A peaceful, laid back town, full of lush vegetation is a haven for migrating birds. bird watching in Lake Qaroun see Grebes, ducks, coots, and shorebirds. End the evening with an open air BBQ and camp out for a night under the stars.

Day 04: Monastery of Saint Macarius

Wake up to the sweet sounds of singing birds with an outdoor breakfast. Enjoy bird watching at your campsite before hiking on foot to the Monastery of Saint Macarius. Founded in 360AD by St. Macarius who was once a spiritual leader to over 4000 monks. The Monastery is a richly historical and spiritual place. Have lunch at the Monastery and enjoy the brilliant sunset as you drive back to Cairo. Overnight at hotel.

Day 05: Abu Simble Temples, High Dam, Unfinished Obelisk and Felucca sailing

Fly from Cairo to Abu Simble for a day exploration and beauty where you will visit the Abu Simble Temples first built by Ramses II and later reconstructed by the Egyptian government along with UNESCO in order to preserve it. Fly back to Aswan for a breath taking experience at the High Dam for a panoramic view from a top the 364ft tall structure. Stop by the Unfinished Obelisk before diving into a sumptuous Nubian lunch at a local restaurant. Complete a day of exploration with a calm and relaxing ride on a Felucca, a traditional Egyptian sail boat around Kitchener Island and Agha Khan. Enjoy dinner at your hotel in Aswan where you will overnight.

Day 06: Bird watching sailing, Kom-Ombo Temple, Edfu Temple and Karnak Temple

Travel by motor boat to the famous Cataracts of the River Nile for more bird watching. Then drive to the city of Luxor. A must see is to stop by the breath taking Kom-Ombo and Edfu Temples which is considered one of the best well preserved temple in the country. In Luxor, discover Karnak Temple, the largest temple complex built by man. Check In at the hotel and enjoy its facilities or just relax for the rest of the day.

Day 07: Luxor Temple, Valley of Kings, Hatshepsut Temple and Colossi of Memnon

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel and find out Luxor Temple dedicated to Amun, built by two Pharaohs Amenophis III and Ramses II. Magnificent in its own right, the temple features enormous gateways, shrines, and sanctuaries. Later discover Luxor’s West Bank, visit the Colossi of Memnon, Valley of Kings, Hatshepsut Temple of the female Pharaoh. Enjoy an Oriental lunch at a local restaurant with the rest of day unscheduled for you to do as you please.

Day 08: Memphis, Saqqara, Dahshur and Dinner Cruise

Wake up to a warm Egyptian breakfast before flying back to Cairo. Visit the open air museum at Memphis, the step pyramids of Saqqara and rich history of the city. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant serving up a mixed grill before trekking off to the former military zone of Dahshur. Known for the place where the true pyramid shape was first used in Egypt. Wrap up your day with a luxury dinner cruise before turning in at your hotel.

Day 09: Departure from Cairo International Airport

Enjoy breakfast at your hotel as you prepare for your return flight. If you have a late departure let us know as special arrangements can be made for you.
