13 Days Egypt Tours

Uncover the Wonders of the Nile Valley with Our 13-Day Egypt Tours

If you’ve been dreaming of a journey filled with ancient marvels, immersive cultural encounters, and leisurely moments along the Nile, our 13 Days Egypt Tours offer the perfect blend. Carefully designed to deliver both Egypt’s world-famous landmarks and its hidden gems, these itineraries provide ample time for you to explore, relax, and appreciate the country’s layered history and diverse landscapes. From Cairo’s bustling streets to Luxor’s grand temples—and possibly a seaside retreat by the Red Sea—you’ll experience the very best this fascinating land has to offer.

1. Cairo & Giza: Gateway to an Ancient World

Your adventure typically begins in Cairo, where the modern buzz of skyscrapers meets the echoes of medieval mosques and centuries-old souks. A short drive away, the Giza Plateau greets you with the awe-inspiring Pyramids of Khufu, Khafre, and Menkaure, each testament to Egypt’s Old Kingdom ingenuity. Stand before the timeless Sphinx, whose silent gaze has captivated travelers for centuries, and spend time exploring the Egyptian Museum, home to some of the world’s most important pharaonic artifacts, including the golden treasures of Tutankhamun. While in Cairo, don’t miss the lively Khan El Khalili bazaar, a labyrinth of stalls offering fragrant spices, glittering lanterns, and hand-crafted souvenirs.

2. Memphis & Saqqara: The Dawn of Pyramid Building

Just south of Giza lie two pivotal sites in Egypt’s ancient narrative. Memphis, once the capital of a unified Egypt, still houses remnants of colossal statues and monumental relics that evoke its former glory. Nearby, Saqqara is home to the Step Pyramid of Djoser, a groundbreaking structure conceived by the architect Imhotep. As you wander this vast necropolis, you’ll see how the early pyramid design served as a prototype for the magnificent wonders later raised at Giza.

3. Alexandria (Optional Extension)

With 13 days at your disposal, you can choose to include a trip to Alexandria, the coastal city founded by Alexander the Great. Known for its Greco-Roman heritage, Alexandria offers a different perspective on Egyptian history. Stroll along the scenic Corniche, explore the Catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa, or step inside the Qaitbay Citadel, built where the legendary Lighthouse once stood. Blending Mediterranean ambiance with Egyptian traditions, Alexandria provides a refreshing contrast to the desert landscapes and pharaonic monuments elsewhere in the country.

4. Aswan & Abu Simbel: Southern Charm

Heading south brings you to Aswan, lauded for its relaxed pace, Nubian culture, and the iconic Aswan High Dam. Explore the enchanting Philae Temple, relocated to an island to save it from rising waters. For those seeking an even more impressive experience, consider an excursion to Abu Simbel, where colossal rock-cut temples stand as monuments to the ambitions of Ramses II and Queen Nefertari. Painstakingly relocated to avoid submersion by Lake Nasser, these temples remain among Egypt’s most inspiring feats of both ancient and modern engineering.

5. Nile Cruise: Sailing Through History

No visit to Upper Egypt would be complete without a Nile Cruise, typically spanning from Aswan to Luxor (or in reverse). As you drift along the world’s longest river, expect mesmerizing views of palm-fringed banks, small villages, and timeless rural scenes. Stop at Kom Ombo, a temple shared by the crocodile god Sobek and the falcon god Horus, and Edfu, one of Egypt’s best-preserved sanctuaries dedicated to Horus. Each dockside excursion adds new layers to your growing understanding of ancient Egyptian spirituality and architectural genius.

6. Luxor: The World’s Greatest Open-Air Museum

Arriving in Luxor, you’ll step into a realm of pharaonic splendor that once reigned as Thebes, capital of the New Kingdom. On the East Bank, the Karnak Temple Complex beckons with soaring columns, obelisks, and sacred lakes, while Luxor Temple stands at the city’s vibrant core. Across the Nile on the West Bank, descend into the Valley of the Kings, where pharaohs’ tombs are adorned with vivid paintings depicting their passage into the afterlife. Nearby, the Mortuary Temple of Hatshepsut and the towering Colossi of Memnon complete your immersion in the ancient world’s grand visions and enduring mysteries.

7. Red Sea Retreat (Optional)

After exploring Egypt’s ancient heartland, you may wish to wind down at one of the Red Sea resorts, such as Hurghada or Sharm El Sheikh. Renowned for crystal-clear waters and vibrant coral reefs, these coastal havens let you snorkel, dive, or simply relax under the desert sun. This seaside escape offers a delightful counterpoint to the archaeological intensity of the Nile Valley, rounding out your 13-day adventure with leisure and natural beauty.

Real Reviews From Real People

I was in on a business trip to Cairo with my work colleagues for 1 week.. Honestly, I was very worried to travel to Egypt because of the many reports I read on Covid-19 spread in Egypt and how carelessly the government is handling it. It took me almost 2 days to decide if I would join my other co-workers in this trip or not but finally I made up my min to go. Seeing Saqqara Pyramid was one of my childhood dreams and I did not want to miss it.
New Winner Tour helped us plan our entire trip and were very honest about everything. Our extended family of 8 was originally going to do the trip on our own and we contacted New Winner Tours for transportation only. They explained all the options to us and we decided to let them book everything for us. We were so glad that we made that decision because they really took great care of us and our trip would not be so wonderful without their help.
It was not my first time to visit Egypt but, surely it was the longest, most well organised and remarkable tour ever. I visited Cairo, Alexandria, Siwa, Bahariya Oasis, Kharga, Dakhla, Baris, Luxor, Aswan and Abu Simble in 24 day long, tiring yet awesome once in a life experience. Accompanied by an amazing tour guide Mr. Soliman and a very funny Safari driver and a punch of other amazing people at each spot we have stopped by. What really amazed me - away from the awesomeness of the sites we visited and the kind people we met- the amazing attention to each and every details regard our tour itinerary. If you have been to Egypt before you definitely know that it is not the place where you expect things will happen as exactly planned. BUT to my surprise, it was as well organised as my 7 years tour to Japan.. And just only by chance when I asked my guide how they could do such a perfect and flawless arrangements he said this thanks to the vision of the founder of the company who is inspired by the Japanese culture as he used to be a Japanese tour guide when he was young. Truly amazing ... It deserves every penny we paid and we did enjoy our time.. Thank you Travel2Egypt
