- Size: The oasis spans approximately 80 km east to west and about 25 km north to south, making it a substantial area within the desert landscape.
- Access Routes: From El-Kharga, it is about 150 km along the Darb el-Ghubari desert track, passing through impressive dunes. From Farafra in the north, it’s about 230 km.
- Population: Despite its size being smaller than the Kharga Oasis, Dakhla boasts the highest population in the Wadi el-Gedid region.
Climate:
- Dakhla Oasis experiences a desert climate, typical of the Western Desert. This includes hot summers and mild to cool winters.
