The Lagoon offers a wide variety of aquatic events, including windsurfing, canoeing, water skiing, scuba diving, kite surfing, parasailing, snorkeling, and other water sports.


El Gouna’s beaches are suitable for beginners and advanced surfers, with favorable weather, excellent winds, deep and shallow waters. The lagoon has five kite centers that provide facilities, equipment, and training staff to aid your experience as a learner of a pro.


Easy access to the most beautiful reefs and wrecks in the Red Sea make El Gouna a diver’s paradise. It has nine certified diving centers. Each offers a complete range of diving training, from beginner to professional level of PADI diving certification. There is a standard scuba diver course with minor modifications necessary, depending on the disability type. There is an arrangement for divers to complete a medical questionnaire, and persons with disabilities are required to tender a medical certificate confirming that they are fit to dive.
