Welcome to El Beyt: Your Home in Egypt
The Arabic word “Beyt” means not only “house” but also embodies the concept of “home.” At El Beyt Farm Hotel, we strive to create a homely and welcoming atmosphere where traditional Egyptian village architecture meets modern comforts. Home
Located amidst the breathtaking scenery of Bahariya Oasis, El Beyt is surrounded by 15 acres of lush agricultural land. This land not only provides fresh fruits and vegetables but also fodder for our 70 cows, ensuring a farm-to-table dining experience. The nearby fields and palm gardens offer a picturesque setting for walks and relaxation, making El Beyt an ideal base for exploring the oasis and its many attractions
Rooms
El Beyt boasts six buildings designed in the style of traditional peasant houses, seamlessly blending with the natural surroundings. Our accommodations include:

- 5 Suites with Magnificent Terraces
Each room features atmospheric lighting, colored glass windows, and local oil paintings, creating a cozy and inviting ambiance. The ground-floor rooms have wooden ceilings, while the first-floor rooms boast cupolas with colored glass oculi. All rooms come with ensuite bathrooms equipped with high-quality porcelain tiles and Ideal Standard fittings.
Restaurant
Our 150 m² restaurant serves hearty Egyptian dishes, slightly adapted to suit European tastes. We pride ourselves on using organic fruits and vegetables from our own farm and meat from our livestock. Guests can enjoy buffet breakfasts and dinners, while snacks and lunches are available at the Nafura Café. For a special treat, visit our Sunset Tower Bar to watch the sun set behind Gebel Dist while sipping on fresh juice, Bedouin tea, or Turkish coffee.
Swimming Pool
The hotel features a 50 m² swimming pool located in the inner courtyard, providing a refreshing escape in the heart of the oasis. This tranquil spot is perfect for a relaxing swim after a day of exploring.
Attractions
Bahariya Oasis is one of the five major oases of the Western Desert, located approximately 370 km southwest of Cairo. The area is known for its black hills, iron ore deposits, and numerous springs, such as Bir Matar and Bir al-Ghaba. Nearby attractions include:
- Temple of Alexander: One of the few places in Egypt with Alexander the Great’s cartouche.
- Tomb of Bannentiu: Featuring beautiful reliefs depicting Bannentiu with the gods.
- Valley of the Golden Mummies: A vast burial site from the Greco-Roman period.
- Black Desert: Eroded mountains creating a layer of black powder and rocks.
- White Desert: Known for its unique white limestone formations.
Lake Marun: A salt lake perfect for bird watching and sunset photos.
