Al-Fayoum Oasis & Beni Suif Pyramids Day Tour

Departure to Fayoum Our journey begins as we travel approximately 100 kilometers southwest of Cairo to the enchanting region of Fayoum. Known for its rich history, stunning natural landscapes, protected areas, and the unique distinction of having Egypt’s only real waterfall, Fayoum offers a diverse tapestry of attractions.

Pyramid of Hawara Once in Fayoum, our first stop is the Pyramid of Hawara, constructed by King Amenemhat III during the 12th dynasty in the 19th century BC. This pyramid is notable for its architectural significance and historical context, standing as a testament to the ingenuity of ancient Egyptian construction outside the main Cairo area.

Meidum Pyramid We then proceed to the Meidum Pyramid, an earlier endeavor by King Senfru, the father of Cheops and the founder of the 4th dynasty. Built in the middle of the 25th century BC, this pyramid represents Senfru’s initial attempt to create a true pyramid structure. Its collapse, which tragically claimed the lives of many workers, has left it deserted and serves as a poignant reminder of the challenges faced in early pyramid construction.
