Giftun Islands
Giftun Islands - Hurghada
Nestled in the heart of the Red Sea near Hurghada, the Giftun Islands represent one of Egypt’s most enchanting national parks. Renowned for their pristine white sands and exceptional snorkeling opportunities, these islands are a haven for both avid snorkelers and those looking to immerse themselves in the Red Sea’s splendor without diving deep.
As you wade or snorkel near the shores, a kaleidoscope of marine life dances through the crystal-clear waters. For those preferring to stay dry, lounging under a palm-frond shelter on the beach, basking in the warm embrace of the sun, is equally delightful.
Archipelago and Dive Sites

Turtle Bay
On the northwestern part of Big Giftun Island lies the serene Turtle Bay. This small lagoon with a coral sandy bottom is celebrated for its sightings of large green turtles.

Located west of the Red Sea near Makadi Bay, the Giftun Islands are a treasure trove of marine biodiversity. Divers can encounter large Gorgonarias, a variety of corals including red, yellow Acropora, and brain corals, along with green turtles, barracudas, morays, scorpionfish, napoleon fish, and large spotted rays.
