Traveling by “Servees” Minibus
Embarking on a journey from Marsa Alam to Hurghada can be a multi-stage adventure via service taxis (minibuses). Typically, the route includes stops at El Quseir and possibly Safaga. The main minibus station in Marsa Alam, known locally as the ‘mowqef’, is conveniently located on the town’s northern edge. The fare for this journey generally starts at around 150 LE per person.
For those continuing to Cairo, you’ll need to head to one of Hurghada’s major bus stations upon arrival. El Gouna station is a recommended choice, offering frequent departures to Cairo every couple of hours. The journey takes approximately 7 hours, with fares varying between 175 and 400 LE one-way.

Ensure that the taxi is officially licensed for the journey to avoid any issues at police checkpoints.
