Sayedna Al-Hussein Square
Between Al-Azhar and Sayyidna al-Hussein is a squared space – one that served as one of the central points of Mamluk Cairo. This space is among the top favorite spaces for feasts, especially in Ramadan evenings and during the moulid of Hussein and the Prophet Mohammed. Meetings are also held there, and you may find several locals and tourists at the outdoor seating located at the entrance to the Ahwas khan.
