Exclusions

Day 1 Arrival in Cairo

Upon arrival at Cairo International Airport, you will be warmly greeted by our representative and transferred to your hotel. After check-in, take the rest of the day to relax and unwind, allowing yourself to adjust to the vibrant atmosphere of Egypt’s capital.

Day 2 Memphis, Saqqara, Old Cairo, and Al-Qalaa Square

After breakfast, set out on a full-day tour of some of Egypt’s most significant historical sites. Begin with a visit to Memphis, the ancient capital of Egypt, followed by Saqqara, where you will explore the famous Step Pyramid of Djoser. In the afternoon, visit Old Cairo, home to historic churches and mosques, including the Hanging Church and Ben Ezra Synagogue. Conclude your day with a visit to Al-Qalaa Square, where you’ll tour the grand Citadel of Saladin and the stunning Mosque of Muhammad Ali. Afterward, return to your hotel in Cairo for the evening.

Day 3 Full-Day Alexandria Tour

Today, embark on an exciting day trip to Alexandria. Upon arrival, visit the ancient Catacombs of Kom El Shuqafa and the towering Pompey’s Pillar. After lunch, explore the fascinating Greco-Roman Museum before heading to the iconic Library of Alexandria. In the evening, you will return to Cairo and spend the night at your hotel.

Day 4 Fly to Aswan & Sightseeing

After an early breakfast, take a short flight to Aswan. Upon arrival, you’ll begin your exploration with a visit to the impressive High Dam, a modern engineering marvel that controls the Nile’s flooding. Next, you’ll visit the beautiful Philae Temple, dedicated to the goddess Isis, situated on an island and accessible by boat. Afterward, return to your hotel in Aswan for an overnight stay.

Day 5 Abu Simbel Excursion by Bus

Today, embark on an early morning drive to Abu Simbel, one of Egypt’s most spectacular temples. Explore the grandeur of the twin temples of Ramses II and Nefertari, carved into the mountainside. After your visit, return to Aswan for another restful night at your hotel.

Day 6 Drive to Luxor

After breakfast, you will be transferred by bus to Luxor. Along the way, enjoy scenic views of the Nile and the desert. Upon arrival, enjoy lunch in Luxor and then check in to your hotel. The rest of the afternoon is free for you to relax or explore the city on your own.

Day 7 Luxor West Bank Exploration

Begin your day with an unforgettable sunrise hot air balloon journey over Luxor’s West Bank, where you’ll take in sweeping aerial views of the Valley of the Kings, ancient temples, and the stunning landscape beyond. After this one-of-a-kind adventure, dive deeper into the wonders of the West Bank by visiting the Valley of the Kings, marveling at the grand Temple of Hatshepsut, and standing before the iconic Colossi of Memnon.

Day 8 Luxor East Bank & Sleeper Train to Cairo

In the morning, explore the East Bank of Luxor, where you will visit the grand Karnak Temple and the beautiful Luxor Temple. In the evening, you’ll board a comfortable sleeper train back to Cairo, enjoying the sights as you travel overnight.

Day 9 Pyramids of Giza, Egyptian Museum, Khan El Khalili & Al-Muizz Street

Day 10 Farewell Egypt

After breakfast, transfer to Cairo International Airport for your departure flight, carrying with you memories of Egypt’s incredible history, culture, and landscapes.

I will never forget December 2023 because it was my first Viking cruise on the Viking Ra. Setting off from Luxor, Egypt, the journey exceeded every anticipation of mine. The cuisine was excellent, and the tour guides were very informative. Discovering the renowned temples and pyramids was a once-in-a-lifetime experience...
